Triad of NC GFAFEvent Webcast ~ Recommended Essential Oils, Traveling with Food Allergies, Honey Instead of Sugar & Baking Tips

In light the month of May being Celiac Disease Awareness month, we want to put some staggering statistics into reality for our next GFAFEvent June 2 at Winston-Salem Fairgrounds Home & Garden Building from 10-3. The Triad of NC is comprised of Winston-Salem, Greensboro, and High Point as well as their neighboring towns. There are over 600,000 people in the area which translates into over 54,000 people with food allergies/sensitivities or celiac disease. Just let that sink in for a second...

About 1 in 100 people — about 1 percent — have celiac disease. About .4 percent of people have a doctor-diagnosed wheat allergy Put those statistics into play in even the smallest town and you will be amazed at how many people in your community are affected. This is why we work hard on making events a place where people can feel safe and can learn from experts on how they can navigate their lives easier. It is why we keep these webcasts here on the blog as a free resource.
